Batana oil versus Batana Butter: What you need to know

Batana oil versus Batana Butter: What you need to know

July 30, 2024

We recently introduced our gorgeous Batana Oil for Hair Growth and have already received positive feedback.

This makes us so incredibly happy and excited, as our goal is to always provide skin and hair products that provide the results you want (and deserve!) but without putting your health at risk thanks to harsh chemicals found in conventional beauty products.

Batana is one we have been dying for you to try.

Moisturizes my dry frizzy hair, I put it on my hair especially my ends after I wash and towel dry my hair. Then during the week I put it on from the middle of my hair to the ends to keep it moisturized. It works beautifully! I love this stuff. It's not greasy but very light. Baja Basics in my opinion make the best products. I highly recommend it.

This moisturized my hair incredibly well, especially my dry ends which almost never seem to change. It has really kept my hair looking healthy while growing it out.

As you can see, parched locks adore Batana oil and drink it right up, leaving hair soft, silky and bouncy with no greasy feel!

Batana oil is steeped in history, with it being used traditionally for cooking in Miskitu communities, located in the Muskitia region in the most eastern part of Honduras.

“The native Miskito people of Honduras have used it for hundreds of years — they have referred to it as ‘miracle oil’ as it has helped them to grow longer, stronger hair and also has many benefits for the skin,” says Dr Penzi, a dermatologist in NJ.

The oil, “extracted from [the nuts] of the American palm tree that is native to Central and South America,” truly does have a heap of hair and skin loving benefits too, especially if dryness plagues you during the more harsh winter months.

Your skin loves it too!

So you know Batana is heaven sent for your hair, and just in case you need confirmation, here you go:

  • Can help to repair damaged hair from within the follicle
  • Thickens hair by promoting new hair growth
  • Hello shiny, bouncy locks!
  • May help to prevent gray hairs with regular use

But did you know that the same nutrient profile that feeds the hair with such lush goodness can help to transform your skin as well?

Batana oil is absolutely bursting to the brim in omega 6 fatty acids, (hello dewy skin!) and powerful antioxidants to help protect against UV damage.

By applying this oil as a regular moisturizer you are aiding in supporting your skin’s natural barrier for skin that not only looks gorgeous and radiant, but feels comfortable too. None of that tightness from products that strip your skin!

So where does Batana butter come in?

Batana butter is 100% Batana so it is even more concentrated and effective (yes, really!)

The raw butter can have a smell that some people find slightly unpleasant, which is why we have infused it with essential oils to allow you to reap the benefits of pure Batana, while enjoying a lovely scent.

We firmly believe that our Batana oil and Butter will be a perfect duo, with you alternating between them when you need something a little lighter versus heavier.
