DIY Jojoba Oil Facial Cleanser with Rose Water

DIY Jojoba Oil Facial Cleanser with Rose Water

April 17, 2020

Have you ever thought about making your own toxin-free cleanser? Ever thought about using oil to wash your face?

Maybe you're fed up and ready to ditch your old products with chemicals that are causing harm and irritating your skin. And maybe you're dealing with inflamed skin or redness.

Are you hoping to simplify your skin care routine (the all natural way) while saving time and money?

Then I have a simple and wholesome solution just for you: My Jojoba Oil Facial Cleanser with Rose Water.

Why Use Jojoba for Cleansing?

  1. Oil attracts oil. So, cleansing your face with oil just makes sense. You would be amazed at the dirty stuff showing up on a cotton ball at the end of the day!
  1. Jojoba oil is similar to sebum (the natural oil your skin produces) than other oils.  So it is perfect for using in facial and body care routines.

So . . . ready to DIY it? Here's what you will need:

  • 4oz bottle
  • 1/4 cup Castile Soap — a mild soap made from olive oil or coconut oil (saponified)
  • 1 tbsp Jojoba Oil* - similar to our skin's natural oils; it penetrates deeply without leaving an oily residue
  • 2 tbs Rose Water — works as an astringent to balance and moisturize skin
  • 5 drops of Lavender Essential Oil — antiseptic and helps heal blemishes
  • 2-3 drops of Tea Tree Oil —  antibacterial, helps disinfect and heals acne

--

Use a funnel to combine all ingredients into a recycled bottle, preferably one with a dispenser. Shake it all up and voila! Your new all natural face wash is ready to go!

*Note that if you have very dry or aging skin, you can try substituting Rosehip Oil for the Jojoba as your night cleanser.
