Organic Marula Oil from Head To Toe: 4 Ways To Use It!

June 18, 2021

Rich in amino acids, fatty acids and powerful antioxidants, this luxurious oil is one both your hair and skin will adore.

Marula oil is obtained from inside the nut of the Marula fruit, grown on the Marula tree. The Marula Tree is referred to as one of Africa’s “botanical treasures” and it’s believed people were enjoying the nutrition from the Marula fruit as far back as 10,000 years BC!

We’ve let you in on all the benefits of this decadent oil before, but today we want to share our favorite ways to use this oil for best results.

From head to toe, Marula oil has you covered, quite literally!

For your face

Marula oil is wonderful as a facial oil, and it suits all skin types, from dry and mature to problematic complexions prone to blemishes.

It leaves dry skin beautifully dewy and hydrated, yet helps to balance excess oil too and is lightweight and never greasy.

After cleansing and toning, while your skin is still slightly damp (for best absorption) apply a few drops of Marula oil to your skin and press into your pores with your fingertips before massaging in gentle, upward strokes, right from your décolletage to your forehead. Massage the excess oil into your hands to keep them youthful.

For your body

Who says only your face deserves so much attention? Certainly not us!

Marula oil is wonderful as an all over body moisturizer, either applied on its own or by adding a few drops to your favorite body lotion (make sure it’s all natural!)

It has a floral and fruity scent with warm, nutty undertones making it popular as a base note in perfumes and soaps. So you’ll smell naturally good, without having to rely on synthetic chemicals!

For your hair

Your strands love Marula oil, just trust us on this!

Add a few drops to your shampoo for an extra luxurious wash and for hair that shines like silk. When your hair is damp, apply a few drops to your middle to ends to help protect against heat styling.

When your hair is dry add a few drops to help tame frizz and to protect against humidity. It’s lightweight enough that it will help to provide that moisture and smoothness you’re after but without ever weighing your locks down.

For your nails

Massage this oil into your nails and cuticles to keep them healthy. Marula oil can help to soften dry cuticles, as well as prevent painful hangnails.

A few drops applied after removing nail polish can instantly replace lost moisture and it’s a must after a fresh polish to help extend your new mani and keep it looking hot.

You are going to love this wonderful oil, we can feel it!
