Your Morning and Evening Ritual for Dry Skin

Dry skin can be a bummer if you’re after glowing skin that lasts, but it’s not all bad!

Dry skin has fewer oil glands, which means you are less prone to breakouts (lucky you!) but we totally understand the frustrating side of it too, though!

Like when your foundation flakes during the day or that dewy radiance you had at 7am seems to have evaporated come lunch time.

With a few tweaks to your morning and evening skincare ritual you can nip dry skin in the bud once and for all!

Let’s get into it!

Your new morning routine

Sip on warm water as you wake up

Internal hydration is just as important as external hydration and one of our biggest tips is to hydrate right upon waking, with plain warm water or a squeeze of fresh lemon/lime or some fresh ginger!

Be sure to continue sipping on water and herbal teas throughout your day. 

Gentle cleanse or skip this step!

A gentle cleanser that won’t strip your skin of natural oils (you need them firmly intact!) is very important and that’s where nourishing aloe comes in in the form of our Aloe Vera Facial Cleanser!

If you did a thorough cleanse the night before you could actually skip this step, especially for extremely dry skin and skip right ahead to toner! Spritz some rose water onto a cotton pad and give your face a gentle wipe and then spritz again and allow to dry. 

Use your fingertips to tap it into your skin to accelerate absorption. 

Get your glow on all day!

Rosehip oil is the only moisturizer you need from now on, just trust us! Apply after toning and  in gentle upward strokes. Be prepared to enjoy that glow you see all day long!

Pro tip: Carry our Rose water with you and spritz throughout the day, even right over makeup for an instant skin pick-me-up!

Your new evening routine

Wind down the right way

You started your morning sipping on warm water and spending a few minutes in quiet contemplation so be sure to end your day on the same positive note!

A mindfulness ritual is just as important for your skin as the products you use so here’s a wind-down ritual we think you’ll love!

Deep cleanse with charcoal

You’ve had a busy day and been exposed to environmental toxins that mean your pores are dying for a refresh!

Charcoal will provide a deep-down clean while never stripping your skin or messing with your skin barrier.

Use this one a few times a week and then the Aloe Vera Cleanser the other nights.

Collagen Serum

You can certainly apply our collagen serum in the morning too, but while it’s optional for the morning routine, you definitely don’t want to skip this routine at night!

While we sleep our body undergoes a special process called cell mitosis and this process can be maximized when your skin is infused with powerful nutrients and collagen!

Pro tip:

Always apply serums to slightly damp skin for optimal absorption. A spritz of our Rose water right before will do nicely!

Seal with an oil

This is where you’ll end your routine with an oil to seal in all the benefits of your serum and to ensure your skin hydration is maximized through the night! Rosehip oil is still our favorite dry skin option!
