Oil pulling is a very old Ayurvedic technique which has recently resurfaced. Oil pulls out bacteria and fungus when swished around in your mouth. This may help alleviate things like inflammation, congestion, allergies and can clear skin breakouts.
Does swishing oil around in your mouth for 20 minutes very day sound fun to you?? Well...it might take some getting used to, but there are so many benefits!
Not only can Oil Pulling improve your oral hygiene and whiten your teeth, Oil Pulling also helps with:
• Bad breath
• Bleeding gums
• Cavities
• Gingivitis
• Plaque
• Sensitive teeth
So...how to you "oil pull"?
1) Start with 1-2 teaspoons of oil in your mouth. You can use Coconut oil, Jojoba oil or another oil of your choice.
2) Swish around your mouth and between your teeth. Start with at least 5 mins and work up to at least 20 mins!
3) Spit the oil in the garbage to avoid clogging pipes.
4) Rinse your mouth with salt water or water mixed with apple cider vinegar to get all the oil out of your mouth.
5) Make sure to brush your teeth afterwards!
6) Smile :)

I love this! I personally use oil pulling and have suggested this to clients. Often times we overlook the beauty of SIMPLE acts of self care that are affordable and easy to maintain. Thanks for the reminder!
